Magnetic Compass Calibration of a Slocum Glider (TMOOS/IMEDEA)

All magnetic compasses suffer from magnetic bias when they are in proximity of metal objects. A glider needs its compass to be able to track and plot its course, especially underwater where it doesn't have GPS reception. As the Glider contains many metallic components, it needs to have the compass calibrated to account for this magnetic bias.
